NEW NAEMT REPORT

View Report | Over the past decade, NAEMT has compiled information on approximately 400 EMS agencies nationwide in over 40 states that have launched MIH or CP programs. In February 2023, NAEMT surveyed these agencies to determine the current status of their programs. NAEMT also asked other national associations to share the survey link with their networks of MIH-CP programs.

NAEMT RADIO

Episode 16 | In this edition, we talk to Steven Kroll, Chair of the NAEMT EMS Political Action Committee (EMS PAC) and NAEMT President-elect, Chris Way, also Chair of the NAEMT Advocacy Committee. Collectively they discuss that Advocacy on behalf of the EMS profession is an important responsibility of NAEMT and the political action committee is a critical part of our advocacy program.

NAEMT’s Advocacy program has three main components:

1. NAEMT’s professional advocacy team – paid lobbyists in Washington, DC who work with policymakers on legislation and regulation impacting EMS.
2. The grassroots engagement of the NAEMT members – visiting members of Congress at home, coming to Washington for EMS On The Hill each spring, sending letters to members of Congress in response to NAEMT advocacy requests, and sending letters using the NAEMT Online Legislative Service.
3. NAEMTs Political Action Committee provides support for candidates for the U.S. Congress – both the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate – who champion the issues of importance to NAEMT members.

NAEMT ANNUAL MEETING

View Schedule | NAEMT Members: please plan to attend the NAEMT Annual Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana, on September 18-20, 2023. Held in conjunction with EMS World Expo, the events, meetings and receptions provide time for NAEMT members to engage and socialize with association leaders and colleagues from around the nation and the world.

NAEMT Annual Meeting events are free to NAEMT members and offer a tremendous opportunity to learn, engage and enjoy! NAEMT members are encouraged to attend all open association meetings, such as the Board meeting and committee meetings.

During the meeting, we will celebrate our EMS profession at the General Membership Meeting, where we'll recap the year's activities, present future goals, and recognize the outstanding recipients of the National EMS Awards of Excellence. Immediately following the awards presentation, NAEMT members are invited to join us for the popular Member Reception. We look forward to welcoming you to New Orleans!
